Langkah Pertama, Membuat File Image.

  1. Masukkan Hiren’s Boot Flashdisk USB atau Hiren’s Boot CD sesuai dengan preferensi Anda.
  3. Masuk ke Bagian Boot Sequence/Urutan Booting. Pastikan media yang Anda gunakan menempati urutan pertama booting. Misalnya: Anda memilih menggunakan CD Hiren’s, pastikan CDROM berada pada posisi booting pertama.
  4. Pada menu Booting Hiren’s, pilih ‘Start Boot CD’
  5. Pada Menu Utama Hiren’s, Pilih [2.] Backup Tool > [2.] Norton Ghost 11.5 > [8.]Ghost (Normal). Tunggu beberapa saat hingga program Norton Ghost berjalan. Klik [OK]
    D: = Drive D:
1.2: = merupakan Harddisk Fisik Pertama Partisi Kedua
    [DATA] = label DATA
    FAT =  File System FAT32
    hiren-norton-ghost5
  1. Boot dari Hiren’s Boot CD atau Hiren’s Boot USB Flashdisk
  2. Pada menu Booting Hiren’s, pilih ‘Start Boot CD’
  3. Pada Menu Utama Hiren’s, Pilih [2.] Backup Tool > [2.] Norton Ghost 11.5 [8.]Ghost (Normal). Tunggu beberapa saat hingga program Norton Ghost berjalan. Klik [OK].
    hiren-norton-ghost9
  6. Pilih Partisi sumber/Source file image kemudian klik [OK]
    hiren-norton-ghost10
  7. Pilih Harddisk fisik tujuan/Destination Restorasi Windows, [OK]
    hiren-norton-ghost11
  8. Pilih Partisi Harddisk tujuan/Destination Restorasi. Pilih Primary [OK]
    hiren-norton-ghost12
  9. Ketika Muncul Dialog Box ‘Prosses With Partition Restore?’ klik [Yes]
  10. Tunggu hingga selesai 100%
  11. Klik [Reset Computer] untuk me-restart Komputer.
Semoga bermanfaat..

How to create a bootable Windows 7 USB flash drive

Manual Creation

windows_7_usb_10.png
Maybe you don't like that Microsoft violated the GPL with the first version of the above tool (the company has since GPLed the code), or you're old-school and just love using the command prompt. Regardless of what your reasons are for creating a bootable Windows 7 USB drive manually, we have the scoop on how to do it. First, open the command prompt (if you use UAC make sure to right click it and choose "Run as administrator"), type "diskpart" without the quotes, and hit enter. You can also get here by simply typing "diskpart" without the quotes into the Start Menu and hitting enter.
windows_7_usb_11.png
Now type "list disk" without the quotes and hit enter. Take a look at the Size column and figure out which disk number your USB drive is. Ours is number 1, so we're going to type "select disk 1" without the quotes and hit enter. Now we're going to wipe it by typing "clean" without the quotes and hitting enter (make sure to do a backup of the contents if you haven't already).
windows_7_usb_12.png
At this point we want to prepare the USB drive for the files and make sure it is bootable. Type "create partition primary" without the quotes and hit enter. Then type "select partition 1" without the quotes and hit enter. Next type "active" without the quotes and hit enter. Finally, type "format fs=fat32" without quotes and hit enter (if you choose to use ntfs, you'll later have to run the "Bootsect.exe /nt60 G:" command to put boot manager compatible files onto your USB flash drive to make it a bootable device). This one will take a while, so go grab a snack, we'll wait. When that's done, type "assign" without the quotes and hit enter (this will assign a new drive letter to the USB flash drive).
windows_7_usb_13.png
An AutoPlay window like the one above will appear. Remember the drive letter (in our case it is H:), close the window, type "exit" without the quotes and hit enter. If you are working with an .ISO image, the best way to do this last part is to mount the file with a program like Virtual Clone Drive. Alternatively, you can extract the files from the .ISO image and simply copy them to the USB drive, but since we've been using the command prompt up to this point, we'll show you how to do the last step with it as well.
windows_7_usb_14.png
If you don't have the command prompt open, open it with administrative privileges, type "xcopy f:*.* /s/e/f hg:" without the quotes and hit enter. Note that you will likely have to replace "f:" with the drive letter for your Windows 7 DVD and "g:" with the drive letter for your USB flash drive. Don't worry if install.wim takes a while to copy: it's easily the biggest file on the disc.

Bonus: install any edition of Windows 7

windows_7_usb_14.png
This is a completely optional step and you only want to do this if you want to be able to choose which edition of Windows 7 to install. In the command prompt, type "del G:\sources\ei.cfg" without the quotes and hit enter (where g: is your USB flash drive).
windows_7_usb_15.png
This will make sure that your Windows 7 installer no longer has a specific version of Windows 7 set as the default, and you will be prompted to choose the version you want to install. Remember that while this gives you a more universal Windows 7 installer, you still need to make sure you are choosing the edition that you own, or you will not be able to activate Windows 7 with the key you have obtained.

How to create a bootable Windows 7 USB flash drive

The USB flash drive has replaced the floppy disk drive as the best storage medium for transferring files, but it also has its uses as a replacement for CDs and DVDs. USB drives tend to be higher in capacity than disc media, but since they are more expensive, they cannot (yet) really be used as a replacement. There are reasons why you would, however, choose a USB device over a DVD disc, and bootable software is definitely one of them. Not only is it faster to copy data such as setup files from a USB drive, but during usage the access times are also significantly faster. Therefore, installing something like Windows 7 will work that much faster from a USB drive than from a DVD (and of course, is particularly useful for the PCs without an optical drive; this isn't something we should just leave for the pirates to enjoy).
This guide will show you two different ways to create a USB flash drive that works just like a Windows 7 DVD. In order to follow this guide, you'll need a USB flash drive with at least 4GB of free space and a copy of the Windows 7 installation disc.

Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool

You are normally given this tool when you purchase from the online Microsoft Store.
windows_7_usb_1.png
The easiest way to turn a USB flash drive into a bootable Windows 7 installer is by using the tool Microsoft offers, cunningly named the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. To get started, download the installer [exe] from Microsoft.com and follow the basic steps to put it onto your computer; you can put it on the computer you plan to install Windows 7 on or another one, it doesn't matter.
windows_7_usb_2.png
Once it is installed, it should create an icon on your desktop, so double-click that to open. If you can't find it, use the search function in the Start Menu with a keyword like "USB." Launching it should give you the above screen, and step one is to find the Windows 7 .ISO file. The tool only accepts .ISO images, so we recommend that you convert yours if it's in a different DVD image format.
windows_7_usb_3.png
Step two is straightforward: simply choose USB device.
windows_7_usb_4.png
In step three, all you have to do is make sure that you are choosing the correct USB device. If you have other data on the device, move it to your hard drive, another USB device, or somewhere else before proceeding.
windows_7_usb_5.png
The tool will prompt you if it detects data on the device. Once your data is backed up elsewhere, click Erase USB Device.
windows_7_usb_6.png
You will get another prompt warning you that all the data will be wiped. Click Yes to continue.
windows_7_usb_7.png
The format will be very quick, while the copying of the files will take a little bit more time (about 10 to 15 minutes).
windows_7_usb_8.png
Once the process is complete, you should get the above confirmation message. At this point you can close the tool and use the USB drive to install Windows 7. Remember that you'll have to choose to boot off the USB drive. Before doing so, you may want to open up the USB drive and double click on setup.exe to see if everything looks okay. If you want to be able to do this manually, see the next section, and if you want to be able to install any edition of Windows 7, skip to the section after that.

Create a Bootable Linux Flash Drive in Three Easy Steps

Create a Bootable Linux Flash Drive in Three Easy Steps

A flash drive is one of the single most useful tools a person can own. With it you can back up critical data, transport large files, rescue a malware-infested PC, and even run an entire operating system.
Regarding this last option, awhile back I explained how to put Windows 8 on a flash drive. (It works with Windows 7, too.) Today, let's talk about putting Linux on a flash drive.
Why would you want to do that? Two reasons: to see how the other half lives, so to speak, and to create a rescue tool that can work around nearly any Windows-related disaster.
For example, I recently spent days troubleshooting a relative's malware-infested, effectively non-operational laptop. She wasn't concerned about getting the system working again, but she desperately wanted to retrieve her business documents, personal photos, and the like. (I did not, you'll be glad to know, take the opportunity to scold her about making backups. I waited until later.)
Just because Windows is hosed doesn't mean you can't access the files on your hard drive. By booting Linux from a flash drive, you get a full-blown operating system, one that can read the main drive and, usually, copy its contents somewhere safe (like the cloud, an external hard drive, or even a network drive).
Okay, but you don't have a master's degree in programming, so how are you supposed to create this mythical Linux boot drive? It's easier than you might think thanks to an open-source utility called UNetbootin.
Add caption
The beauty of this tool is that it does everything for you (except supply the flash drive--I recommend something like the Kingston DataTraveler 108 8GB drive, which Newegg sells for the amazingly low price of $7.99 shipped).
Just download and run the program, then choose a Linux distribution (i.e. a version of Linux) or, if you already have one, an ISO file. I think most people will opt for the former, at which point UNetbootin downloads Linux for you, then copies it to your flash drive (and makes the drive bootable).
(If you're new to Linux, I recommend choosing Ubuntu--though readers may have other ideas as to which distribution is the most user-friendly.)
Reboot with your drive still inserted and presto: Linux should load. (You may need to monkey with your BIOS or boot settings so that the flash drive is at the top of the order.)
Keep in mind that this won't overwrite anything on your hard drive; the OS runs exclusively from the flash drive. When you're done, you can just shut down, remove the drive, then boot back into Windows normally.
But I recommend familiarizing yourself with that Linux environment, just so you're prepared if and when you need to use it for rescue purposes. Plus, it's kind of fun!

How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc

How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc

How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc
Many computers ship without Windows 7 installation discs. Instead they come with "recovery" discs and/or partitions that claim to restore your PC to its "factory fresh" state, but include a ton of bloatware (free trials, media players, useless utilities, and the like) along with Windows. Removing each piece of bloat is time-consuming, and just not the same as truly starting fresh.
In this article, you'll learn how to make your own Windows 7 installation disc (or USB flash drive) and use the valid product key you already have to perform a fresh reinstallation. The following method is effective and legal, and doesn’t require a lot of technical expertise. (If you do need help with bloatware, however, read "What to Do With a New PC.")
However, we don't recommend that you delete your recovery partition or throw away your existing recovery discs. Although many people have had success with the following procedure, others have not. Some users have not been able to activate their copy of Windows even after entering a valid product key, while others own PCs that require software not included in a Windows 7 ISO. You have no way to know whether this procedure will work for you until you try, and you need a backup plan in case it doesn’t.
Also, save your files and drivers to external media before you start. Reinstalling Windows wipes out all personal data and causes a loss of functionality in devices for which Windows lacks an adequate built-in driver. Plan on loading the latest device drivers from media you create before reinstalling Windows.

Reinstalling Windows 7, Step by Step

1. Find your Windows 7 product key: Typically this 25-character alphanumeric string is printed on a sticker affixed to your PC or on documentation included with your PC. Alternatively, you can use a keyfinder program such as Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder to pull your product key from the Registry. You need your product key to reinstall Windows.
Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder helps you round up your serial numbers.
Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder helps you round up your serial numbers.
2. Download the ISO file for the version of Windows 7 you own:
The above links point to Digital River, a licensed distributor of Microsoft software. These downloads are each over 3GB, and your product key will work only with your edition of Windows, so make sure to select the right one.
3. Download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool. This utility lets you copy your Windows 7 ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive. Whether you choose DVD or USB makes no difference; just confirm that your PC can boot to the media type you select.
4. Boot your computer using the Windows 7 DVD or USB flash drive. Follow the prompts to prepare the destination hard drive and install Windows.
good luck.....

How to Create a Bootable Mac OS X Flash Drive

How to Create a Bootable Mac OS X Flash Drive

A bootable Mac OS X thumb drive comes in handy when you need to troubleshoot OS issues for yourself, your family, or your friends. It's also extremely useful for keeping your basic setup consistent across multiple computers, if you find yourself switching hardware regularly; and I've had fun in the past setting up a bootable USB keychain loaded with all the apps and files I need to turn any Mac-compatible computer into a viable media center quickly and easily.
With Mac OS X Lion and a new piece of free software, it's easier than ever to create a USB keychain that you can boot from. All you need is a few minutes, a copy of Lion, and a USB flash drive with at least 4GB of storage (though more is preferable).

Preparation

The first step in getting Lion onto your USB drive is to obtain a copy of the OS itself. Unfortunately, the file you download from the Mac App Store to your computer deletes itself after you update to Lion, so you'll probably need to redownload the OS update.
This is a simple but slightly time-consuming process. Go into the App Store application and open the Purchases tab at the top of the screen. From there, you should see OS X Lion as one of your previous purchases. Click the Download button next to Lion, note the directory that it downloads to and wait for the download to finish. During testing it took me about 50 minutes to redownload the 4GB or so of content that comprises Lion. Once the OS has finished downloading (and you've verified that Lion has landed safely in your Applications folder), you're ready to transfer it to your trusty USB flash drive.
If you already own a copy of OS X Lion, you should be able to download a fresh copy at any time from the Purchases tab of the Mac App Store.
To streamline the process, download the free Lion DiscMaker app. Downloading a third-party app just to handle this process is a bit of a bother, but Lion Discmaker enormously simplifies the process of installing Lion on a USB keychain.
Now, before you start formatting your drive, back up anything currently on your flash drive that you'd like to keep--because this process will completely erase the contents of the USB drive and rewrite it with a copy of Lion. You have been warned!

Creating Your Bootable Drive

Lion DiscMaker makes this part of the process a snap. Start the Lion DiscMaker app with your USB flash drive plugged in and with the Lion install file sitting inside your application folder. The app will give you the option of creating a bootable drive out of either a DVD or a USB keychain. Select the USB keychain option. (If you happen to own a Mac with a disc drive, consider creating a DVD backup of Lion. I prefer keeping Lion on a USB keychain so that I can add files to the USB drive to customize the installation; but if you're just looking for a bootable copy to troubleshoot your hardware, feel free to go with the DVD option and save yourself a little cash.)
Lion DiscMaker makes it easy to create a bootable thumb drive.
Once you've indicated that you want use a bootable drive, the app will ask whether you'd like to use a USB thumb drive or some other kind of disk. Select the USB thumb drive option again; and when prompted, choose the disk that you'd like to install Lion to. Select your flash drive and you should be ready to rock.
If you're using a thumb drive that has only 4GB of free space, Lion DiscMaker will remind you that you won't get a complete of OS X Lion package because there won't be room for the "additional speech voices" package. This should be no great loss. Select Okay and then, to confirm that you're aware the volume will be erased, click the Erase then create the disk button.
The copy procedure will take a few minutes and will open a few windows in your finder automatically, but Lion Discmaker should automate the whole process. All you have to do is wait for your Mac to cease displaying its "Copy in progress, please wait..." message, which will indicate that DiscMaker has finished installing Lion onto your flash drive. Once that's done, you'll have a bootable USB flash drive that fits in your pocket and can handle system recovery, OS installation, and even basic Web browsing in a pinch.
If you have any space left over on your flash drive, you can add a few of your favorite applications and files, to customize a new installation. Regrettably, these files won't be accessible when you boot directly from the USB flash drive; but once the installation is finished, they can help you save considerable time while setting up a new computer.
Of course the bootable drive that this method creates is no substitute for a fully customized Mac OS X Lion-based computer, but considering how fast and easy the drive is to set up--and how much time it could save you the next time you need to reinstall or troubleshoot your Mac OS X--there's no good reason not to make your own bootable copy of Lion to carry in your pocket. Good luck!
